WELCOME MESSAGE
FROM THE FESTIVAL DIRECTOR
The PotashCorp Children’s Festival is celebrating 25 years of arts participation for young audiences and families.
And what are birthdays known for? Wishes, of course!
This birthday belongs to all who are young at heart. In 1988, a group of hardworking dreamers with a love for kids, the arts, and their community made a really good wish come true. Joan Flood, Cass Cozens and their friends created a space where imagination, curiosity and play are valued and celebrated. What a gift for the children of our province!
25 years later, the Children’s Festival is still a Saskatchewan success story, and a national standout among international arts festivals for young audiences in Canada. We’ll welcome 20,000 visitors and hundreds of volunteers to our party this year, encouraging a new generation to make the very best wishes they can.
Each day will be packed with countless dynamic, imaginative experiences for children ... all stuff for making really good wishes.
A birthday puts momentum behind a wish; joy can go a long way with a solid place to start.
Come make a birthday wish for wonder! Join us as we celebrate 25 years of the best in children’s arts experiences with the Children’s Festival!
Celebrate! Participate!
Best regards,
